MEET JIA HUANG
Jia Huang began dancing at the age of five and since then has become a versatile dancer, picking up the dance forms of Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern. In 2002 she joined Kaba Modern, which is considered one of southern California's most cutting edge hip hop groups and quickly discovered a passion for choreography. She has recently finished her second year as a director for the highly renowned Kaba, where she was better known as the Mohawk girl and in the same year graduated from The University of California Irvine with a bachelor degree in dance. Jia is currently dancing with the professional Jazz company Rhetoracle and is the artistic director of KM Legacy. She recently appeared on television shows such as Dirty Dancing and America’s Best Dance Crew with Kaba Modern. She now lives in Arcadia teaching the Arcadia High School Dance Company (Orchesis), traveling across the world teaching master classes and performing and is signed as a DDO agency dance artist working on her goal to be an industry dancer focusing in Hip Hop and Jazz.

AUG 25 TO AUG 28 - DAMIAN "DMOE" GOMEZ, MARC ROY

THIS WEEK AUG 25-28
MEET DAMIAN "DMOE" GOMEZ
Damian "Dmoe" Gomez originated from the San Francisco bay area and started training with the dance group, "gen 2". After highschool, he moved to pursue dance as a career in Los Angeles at the age of 18. Since then he has not only been able to pay his electric bills through dance, but also make a name for himself. He has worked with various artist like Janet Jackson, Black Eyed Peas, Cheetah Girls, and Jessica Simpson. Aspiring to be a choreographer himself, he picked up his stuff in early 2007 and backpacked Europe teaching in almost every country he could. He was an assistant choreographer for Tabitha and Napoleon on a SYTYCD episode, co-choreographer for a "NLT" music video, and creator of a piece for the touring group of "Def Poetry Jam". He is still very much in love with the dance group community and hopes to give back to the very same culture that nurtured him.

MEET MARC ROY
Born and raised in Carson, Ca, Marc always loved dancing. It wasn't until he moved to Washington state his junior year of high school in 2002 where he would develop his Hip-Hop skill. Joining Groove Nation Dance Academy in 2005 and training under Choreographer Beau Sem, Marc has developed his own style of hip-hop. Getting intense training from the industries best choreographers from Millennium dance Complex to your very own Boogiezone instructors. Marc is just blessed to be part of a world people barely know about. Marc's choreography has won him several awards in competitions such as ADA (American Dance Awards) and IDC(International Dance Challenge) as Diamond Choreographer. Marc has entered the dance world hoping to touch the lives of others thru his creativity while at the same time getting blessed by other peoples creative juices as well. Marc's style varies from hard hitting to smooth and relaxed...He is currently teaching under Groove Nation and is Co-Director for their Remix squad. " I'm excited to teach my first class at BZ and share my passion with the community. I hope to inspire while I get inspired by all the talent that surrounds me."

MEET CHRIS CUENZA
Born in Glendale, CA .Christopher G. Cuenza started dancing at the age of 13 with a group called Kultura Phillipine Folk Arts. It wasn’t until 2000 that he started to give hip hop a try and joined the St Genevieve High School Dance Team where a year later he became captain. After high school he joined a group called WOR(wayofrhythm) where he got his first taste of hip hop. He then went off to join CSULB PACmodern and then with some guys from WOR and Carson Street Dance founded Sickstep, which had the opportunity to perform on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. Now he is currently dancing with Boogiezone Breed and GRV, Ultimate Brawl Campions 2008. you will always find him as one of the people always wanting to freestyle. MEET IAN EASTWOOD
Ian Eastwood,aka ICON began dancing at age 10. In 4 1/2 short years he has been a dancer and/or choreographer, member of the following companies:312-(Dance 2xs L.A.)Redefinition,I.CAN.D,ICON Ent., Dance 2Xs Chicago, IGNITE, Throwdown Entertainment, Giordano Dance (youth performance group)and One World Dance Theater. He has been awarded numerous extended scholarships to the Millennium Dance Complex/LA, Broadway Dance Center/NYC,Alvin Ailey Extension and Debbie Reynolds. Other scholarships include: 4 from Monsters of Hip Hop, and WCDE . Currently he is a VIP tour pass winner for Monsters of Hip Hop. Winner of many competitions, including the Hall of Fame Nationals Solo Showdown Champion. Ian has appeared in Perkin's "Seafood Stomp" National TV ad, received an invitation thru Gil Duldulao to a private audition for Janet Jackson, performed as backup dancer to Feenix Fenom,and is a frequently requested solo perfomer in many showcases. Ian would like to thank his parents, his dancers and all teachers, mentors, and choreographers that have inspired him throughout his ongoing journey. He is extremely excited to teach his first Boogiezone class,and wants to thank Elm for the opportunity.

MEET JEKA KALOTKIN
Jessica Jane Kalotkin better known as "Jeka" began dancing at Schumachers school of dance in South San Francisco where she was extensively trained in Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Lyrical. She then attended S.O.T.A (School of the Arts) where she excelled in Modern and Contemporary styles of dance which today influences her style refered to as "Lyrical hip-hop." Her hip hop carrer began when she was 18 and began training with Funkanometry San Francisco. She then began dancing with Phoenix Dance Company where she is currently artistic director and further dances with The Company (The Camp) and Basic Contemporary Collective.

MEET KENYA CLAY
Born and raised in Inglewood, Ca Kenya started dancing in 1998 for "exercise"and it turned to a passion that would soon carry her far in life. Booking her first big job with Mary J. Blige in 2003 to her surprise when she tagged along with a friend to the audition. Since then she's been gong full throttle with dance. A dominant force in the L.A. freestyle circuit known as one of the best and has been crowned twice as the Girls Freestyle Champ at "Battle of the Belts" a nationwide freestyle battle where the best of the best come and show their skills. Kenya is now a teacher at Millennium Dance Complex and says that she Loves to teach and hopes to be as inspiring as some of her mentors such as Teresa Espinosea, Brian Friedman, and Jayson Wright were to here when she was getting started. She says it makes her heart smile to know that she's made an impact on people!!! A few of her credits Include Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis, MC Hammer, Mercedes Benz FashionWeek, MTV VMA's, etc. She is also a member of MTV's Fysh N CHicks... She says to watch out for "The New Movement, Ladies let's get it"... MEET THE ALL STARS FEATURING LEMA DIAZ AND SHEENA VERA CRUZ
Allstars is a filipino based dance group made up of 12 young and talented performers known for its authentic hiphop and RnB flava which combines different styles of urban grooves to its international status. The group puts breakdancing, pop lockin', freestyling, krump, old school and new school in the mix. Each member contributes to the solid foundation thru their own inviduality and style. Allstars started as close knit friends coming from different backgrounds and was formed for the 4th World Hip Hop Championships held in Los Angeles, California where they placed 6th out of 26 other competing teams. Just recently, Allstars put Philippines on the map when they won the GOLD in the 2nd International Hip Hop Open D'Italia in Torino, Italy last June & the 5th World Hip Hop Championships in Redondo Beach, California last July 29, 2006. They continue and hope to positively improve the country's standards in the entertainment industry by spreading their knowledge and awareness thru the art of dancing. Allstars are featured in many events, concerts, tours, TV guestings, commercials, music videos and print ads .

MEET TOBY VU
Toby Vu aka tovu has been dancing in the community since he was 16, starting out with Urban Youth. He has also been dancing at his high school with Dance Appreciation. Tovu has had the opportunity to dance with different dance groups such as Common Ground, Breed, Super Galactic Beat Manipulators, and Chill Factor crew. Just last year, tovu was given the chance to coach for Dance Appreciation in their first year as a competitive co-ed hip hop group.
