MEET MATT CADY

Matt Cady was born and raised in the valley just minutes from the nearest major dance studio...and still, it took him 17 years before he ever even thought of dancing as a major profession. Recently turning 22 though, he's established himself as DDO/Liquid Talent Dance and Choreography client. He recently choreographed the music video "China Doll" for recording artist Natalise, and is working on her up and coming Los Angeles club tour. His choreography has received the Best Overall Choreography Award at multiple dance conventions on the east coast, including Shock and VIP, and is also currently on faculty at Intrigue Dance Intensive. Dancing wise, Matt was cast as a principal dancer in the Finger Eleven music video for "Paralyzer," and was cast for the stage show GLO at the Bellagio Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas during a High Roller's New Year's Eve Party. His unique jazz/funk style, that is focused on musicality, intricacy, and based upon unforgiving creativity, has granted him extreme praise from Brian Friedman, Shane Sparks, and the creators of the Carnival: The Choreographer's Ball. He currently teaches Jazz/Funk Int-Adv classes at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio in North Hollywood, CA every Tuesday and Wednesday night at 8:30 pm.

MAY 19 TO 22- Alexis, Shannon, Greg

MEET ALEXIS AVILA

Alexis Avila started dancing when she was 16 years old at Artesia High School. As a child, Alexis was involved in Beauty Pagents and acting classes, but never took a dance class till after high school, when she took a Funks LA master class taught by Daniel Cruz. Immediately addicted, Alexis was overwhelmed and inspired because it was so different than the dancing she learned in high school. Artesia was full of booty dancing, crip walking, and clowning, which she loved, but the experience of learning new aspects of dance ignited a thirst in her that she couldn't deny. A friend from Team Millennia advised her to audition for their upcoming tryouts, and although scared, Alexis knew she was up for the challenge. Alexis made the auditions that year, and remained on the team for three more years. It is here where she began to craft leadership experience as the Captain of TM Juniors, thriving as their leader for 2 years. Alexis eventually left TM and tried out for Team Boogie Zone Breed, dancing with them for a year, and even becoming a cast member of EVE: A Dawn of A new horizon. Alexis has since returned to her roots, rejoining TM for a 4th year. She has also made the jump from leader to Director, starting her own team of girls called Sheroes, a team of strong-minded women, focused on helping the community both in and out of dance, donating all funds they earn directly to various charities, among which include The Take A Stand foundation, and The Jennesse Center, a program dedicated to women who've suffered domestic Violence, whose main sponser is Halle Berry. Alexis has taught at various workshops such as Si Summer Intesive, Free Dance Days, and Workshops all held by TM and TM juinors.

Dance Unlimted is now well established and acclaimed as the largest dance complex in Northern California, with a reputation of bringing in top Hollywood and world-class level choreographers.

Greg works with many artists, singers and performers by assisting them with their choreography and performing skills and by also providing them with dancers when required.

Greg produces several major shows and events. Dance Unlimited is the home company of the Collaboration Showcase, which has made a name throughout California.

MAY 05 TO MAY 8 - BAM, KRISUAN, NICK AND ANNA

MEET Brian "BAM" Martin

Brian “Bam” Martin began his dancing career in early high school when his brother and sister, Sean (GRV) and Carissa, talked him into going to their weekly hip-hop class with them at a local dance studio in Chino, CA. Since then Bam trained and competed with their competition team. During that time at the studio, Bam focused on his jazz and technical training rather than hip-hop. However, he knew the hip-hop culture was the way he wanted to go. When He first started dancing, he immediately got into the art of bboying which he did for about 3 years up until his senior year of high school. In may of 2006, Bam got signed to be represented by Bloc Talent Agency, and began his quest in the industry. After several months, he felt a lack of experience and got tired of the whole industry scene. And it wasn’t until December of 2006, that he was introduced to the community when he took his first Boogiezone class. At the age of 19, Bam has done projects for, and has trained with various choreographers, including Gigi Torres, Jaychris Moore, Jun Quemado, and Lando Wilkins. Bam is currently dancing for Lando Wilkins/ Boxcutters, GRV, and always reps his crew CHILL FACTOR, to the fullest.
