MEET PHILLIP GENIZA
Phillip Geniza was born and raised in San Diego, CA. Since a very young age, he enjoyed performing for talent shows and basically anyone that wanted to watch. During high school he continued his love for performing at a local high school competition called airbands. Along with the end of high school, came the end of airbands. With his desire to perform still burning, he sought out a new platform and found it. He was invited to FORMALity's private auditions by his good friend Dennis Phermsin. In the fall of 2003 he found a new home under the direction of Erik Saradpon. Since then Phillip continued to train at Culture Shock Dance Center under teachers like Sammath Orm, Sherman Shoate, and the wonder duo Sammie Cross and Julie Dismukes. In 2005 he was named Artistic Director of FORMALity's all-male junior team, fLipside. Along with directing fLipside, Phillip also teaches regularly at Studio429 and Mystic Stepper. He directs two more junior groups(RIOT7403 and pg-13) and is also the current Artisitic Director for EKetc's co-ed group, Mass Appeal.
When auditioning for FORMALity I did not at all expect what was to come. Dance has truly become something I PASSIONATELY eat, sleep, and breath. Everyday that God blesses me with, is another day to continue to improve my craft. I enjoy sharing my gifts and everything that I have learned with other people. I will always be a student and will always continue to push myself for my students, for they are my true inspiration.

MEET BRYAN TANAKA
For the past 3 years now I have been living in LA working as a professional dancer, teacher, and small time actor. My first love is dance and it has taking me on a journey around the world numerous times. I have toured with artist such as Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, and am currently on tour with Rihanna. Perfomring in front of hundreds of thousands of people around the world has been the most amazing experience ever. Along with traveling the world I have began to teach throughout the world. Teaching is another huge passion of mine. Being able to share your own creativity and being able to inspire people is an amazing feeling. I take my classes serious but in a fun and relaxed class environment. Meaning I'm a good teacher but am kind of a dork sometimes. On the other tip, acting, I still have yet to really pursue it. Although I had my acting debut on one of the coolest shows out right now, Entourage (season 3 episode 11). I still have soooooooooooo much too learn. But thats next. For now I still have alot of dancing, teaching, and choreographing to do.

MEET JOHN GILLETTE
John Gillette was born on an Airbase in Germany. He came to the U.S. when he was three and lived in Michigan until he was ten. Due to his father being in the Air Force, John moved to Montgomery, Alabama. While hanging out at a teen club when he was thirteen, john met Stephen "Twitch" Boss, and they battled in dance for 30 minutes straight! From then on, they teamed up and decided to form a crew called "Dream Team". They adopted moves from the inspirational movie "Breakin'", and ended up dancing together for the next few years until Stephen went to college. Motivated to leave the small town as well, John graduated high school one year early to enlist in the military. At the tender age of 17, he enlisted in the Air Force for 3.5 years as an F-15 jet engine mechanic. During his tenure serving our country, John was given the opportunity to sing the National Anthem on a weekly basis for all of his commanders. Realizing his potential in entertainment, the Air Force released him. John then settled down in Florida. While John was working hard in the military, his friend Stephen was working hard in Los Angeles on the Wade Robson Project airing on MTV. John went to L.A. to visit his friend and that motivated him to start dancing again. Once returning to Florida, John called every dance studio in the area in search of a teaching gig. Finally, he got his chance and he made the most of it. After teaching for about a year he learned about a competition called "Fashion Rock" headed up by Lou Pearlman and Trans Continental Records. John entered the competition and ended up winning first place. Although he received a scholarship to "Broadway" in NYC, John decided to put all his dreams on the line: He sold everything he owned, packed his car, and moved to Los Angeles with $500.00 in his pocket and a dream in his heart. After living the L.A life for 6 months, John realized he could not get enough income to support his outcome forcing him to move back to Florida. Returning to his teaching job, he honed his singing and dancing skills even more. An opportunity to dance for an up-coming artist in NYC came along and John did not hesitate. While in NYC, he met his future manager and returned 2 months later to record three demo tracks.
Currently, John is still working his production team and now resides in Denver Colorado. He teaches at the biggest hip hop studio in the state….Motion Underground. As well as teaching and performing in numerous industrials in the local market, John also co -chreographs for the Denver Nuggets.
